About
I am a creative communicator and experienced designer.
Throughout my 10+ year career in communications and conservation, I have worked with both for-profit companies and NGOs, including the American Museum of Natural History, National Academy of Sciences, The Ocean Agency, Tumblr, and most recently, Only One and World Ocean Day.
While my work and experience span the spectrum of content and design, I have a deep appreciation and affinity for conservation-related missions and am always looking for new and non-traditional ways to engage people with science.
When I am not hours deep in Illustrator or designing a new brand for a young company, I can be found biking around New England or trying to find the best burrito on the East Coast.
Fun fact: Kate is a member of the Explorers Club and won the Adventure Canada Young Explorer Scholarship, which allowed her to study citizen science in the Arctic. She is a drone pilot, avid scuba diver and instructor — featured on an original Disney show, The Big Fib, as a ‘shipwreck expert'.
